第二轮嘉宾公布--2017年肠道微生态与健康国际研讨会

2017年肠道微生态与健康国际研讨会将于3月24-25日在上海举办，大会将围绕肠道微生态系统构建， 肠道菌群稳态调节，肠道菌群宏基因组分析，肠道菌群移植治疗，肠道菌群与神经， 肿瘤， 代谢， 免疫等疾病的互作等议题进行广泛的交流与合作，希望能提高我国肠道微生态的整体研究水平， 促进医疗健康。

演讲摘要：

Investigations in to gut microbiome in recent years have revealed its essential importance for humans and other hosts. The bacterial communities participate in maintaining the normal metabolic and immune functions， along others； while dysbiosis could lead to negative consequences including numerous diseases. While discovery of delicate associations require large amount of samples to be included， fine-scale mechanisms usually require better controlled animal experiment. I’ll introduce two population-level studies in human： In one Belgian study of 1，106 individuals， we have associated gut microbiome with extensive life habits， dietary habits， health and medication obtained from questionnaires， and identified major factors contributing to the inter-individual differences (Flemish Gut Flora Project， Falony et al， Science 2016). And in another German cohort of ca 2，000 individuals we have performed genome-wide association studies on the gut microbiome， and identified host genetic components that are involved in host-microbiome interplay and homeostasis (Wang et al， Nature Genetics， in press). Then to reveal the interplay between gene and microbiome in their role of colorectal cancer development， I’ll show the example of LCN2 gene (Moschen et al， Cell Host Microbe 2016) and Calcineurin (Peuker et al， Nature Medicine 2016)， that gene manifest its role in tumor development only under the correct context of microbiome. And finally， I will demonstrate the applicability of disease treatment with knowledge of microbiome， that in local clinical trials for IBD and IBS， fecal material transplant (FMT) can be an effective treatment and the characterization of effective microbiome can guide future therapy (Vermeire et al， Journal of Crohn and Colitis 2015； Holvoet et al， Gut 2016).
